I was going through the Motorcity 101 vids again and found some interesting things…
Shot 1: what looks to be zombie Mike?
Shot 2: somewhat ominous mystery person (“Stalker”, from episode 115?)
Shot 3: zombie football player attacking Claire?
Shot 4: Really kick-ass art.
Lastly:
>Obviously not a dream, they’re memories
>it’s about the “accident” he had before he was infused with nanites
>these memories are triggered because the gas used to put him under is similar to the gas used during his infusion (assuming he was put under for some sort of operation) and probably the general lab work being done on him could be a trigger
>also, these memories are triggered only in his subconscious and when he wakes he can’t really remember them clearly because it’s like waking from a dream and pushed back into his subconcious (it doesn’t occur to him they’re memories)
>it’s my favorite scene of season one because it could possibly be a recount of what happened to Rex by Rex, instead of just tibits of information told by Van Kleiss (who actually hasn’t told jackshit) and Ceasar
>I don’t think Rex’s accident was an accident at all. Going back to the Nanite Event, we know there was a split between the scientists who were working on it, so, given the theory that it was an AI to control the nanites (Alpha) vs a Human consciousness to control the nanites (Rex, and a few other evos), I think somebody caused this accident to happen in order to push for an infusion to prove a Human consciousness was better suited. Maybe Van Kleiss, maybe Rylander, who knows.
BUT, considering the rating of this show, I doubt that’s the case /shrug
also, I want to know who those scientists are (the ones we see in his dream)
also also, I don’t think Rex’s parents are dead, just sayin, I think that what happened to Rylander (and Van Kleiss) may have happened to his parents too. And since Van Kleiss was brought back, maybe Rylander and his parents can be too?
